RUSTA, an approved National Qualified Entity (NQE), conducts training of the highest safety standard in the UK for Small Unmanned Air Systems (SUAS) operators that wish to obtain Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO) from the CAA.
RUSTA was conceived in 2014 to counter demands for SUAS training requirements due to the exponential growth in the SUAS industry.
RUSTA instructors are passionate about flying and safety. When operators come to us they receive advice and training that is second to none.
Our goal is to ensure every Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), drone or SUAS operator can confidently fly within the safety standards and legal requirements set by the CAA.
RUSTA is a CAA approved National Qualified Entity (NQE) for Small Unmanned Air Systems (SUAS). What does this mean? It means the CAA has the confidence in us to carry out the training and assessment of UAV operators on their behalf. This responsibility is not taken lightly. We give operators the time and attention to ensure they can confidently carry out flight planning exercises, construct a detailed Operations Manual and safely complete a practical UAV flight assessment.
Whether you or your company’s operators need specific UAV flying training, or training in order to obtain a PfCO from the CAA, RUSTA will ensure you get the best service to keep you and your customers safe.
Our team of experienced UAV instructors and assessors are all from ex-military Aircrew Instructional backgrounds, and they love what they do! After completing classroom training candidates leave feeling motivated and empowered to use their UAVs professionally for commercial gain. This is what motivates us to continuously improve and make the experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
No previous UAV flying experience is necessary before joining one of our courses and we enjoy answering all questions presented by candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds.
