Mavinci Dynamics - MVC AUTOPILOT ESSENTIAL

MVC Autopilot Essential is a compact flight-control and edge-computing platform for autonomous aerial vehicles. Its dual-processor architecture combines real-time control with computing for AI navigation, analytics and autonomy.

The Detail

The flight-management unit uses an STM32H753IIK6 32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 processor operating at 480 MHz with 2 MB Flash. A Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, powered by the quad-core 64-bit Broadcom BCM2711 Cortex-A72 at 1.5 GHz, handles perception, analytics and AI workloads.

Integrated sensing includes one IIM-42652 and two ICM-42688-P accelerometer/gyroscope units. Two Bosch BMP390 barometers provide altitude data, while a BMM150 magnetometer supplies orientation. This sensor suite supports navigation in dynamic or GNSS-denied environments.

Connectivity includes eight PWM outputs for four ESCs and four gimbal channels, one PPM input, two telemetry ports, UART4, UART6 and UART8, a GPS port, two USB-C ports, two CAN buses, two I2C outputs and three internal SPI lines. It also provides 100 Mbps Ethernet, two camera ports, two debug ports, two microSD slots, NFC, CM4 and MVC Mini Gimbal connections.

Four integrated Toshiba TC78B011FTG BLDC motor drivers eliminate external ESCs, simplifying wiring and supporting motor control. The platform accepts up to 8.5V from a 2S LiPo battery, with USB input from 4.75 V to 5.25 V and a Samtec UMPS-06-05.5-L-V-S-W-TR battery connector.

An NXP EdgeLock SE050 secure element provides a hardware root of trust, identity storage and updatable applets with Common Criteria EAL 6+ certification. The MB85RS1MTPW-G-APEWE1 1 Mbit, 40 MHz SPI FRAM preserves flight and system data.

Measuring 51 × 65 mm and weighing 15 g, MVC Autopilot Essential fits space-constrained UAVs. Its -20°C to +85°C operating and storage range supports use in demanding defence, industrial, inspection and research missions.
