MVC Gimbal Mini is a compact stabilization and control solution for micro-drone camera payloads. Weighing 27 g and measuring 35 × 45 mm, it combines precise motion control, intelligent sensing, flexible connectivity and hardware security in a platform designed for rapid integration.
The Detail
The STM32L452REY6TR microcontroller provides 32-bit processing at up to 80 MHz with 512 KB Flash. Its energy-efficient architecture supports fast control loops and responsive stabilization without placing excessive demands on the aircraft’s power system.
The onboard ICM-42688-P accelerometer and gyroscope monitor movement, vibration and angular changes, while the BMM150 compass provides magnetic orientation data. Together, these sensors support stable positioning, smooth camera movement and accurate payload control during dynamic flight, inspection, mapping and surveillance missions.
Three MP6543HGL-Z three-phase brushless motor drivers provide precise control across the roll, pitch and yaw axes. This three-axis architecture maintains a stable field of view, supports rapid angular corrections and helps produce clear, vibration-reduced imagery in challenging conditions.
MVC Gimbal Mini includes connections for debugging, three motors, the autopilot board, gimbal board, camera sensor and camera board. These interfaces simplify integration, reduce development risk and accelerate time to market for drone OEM solutions.
Designed for 2S battery systems, the unit accepts a maximum input voltage of 8.5 V and delivers efficient power performance for endurance-focused missions. The ATSHA204A secure element adds cryptographic authentication, device identity verification and anti-tampering protection through symmetric host-to-client authentication.
With an operating and storage temperature range of -20°C to +85°C, MVC Gimbal Mini is engineered for all demanding field conditions.
