Evolve Dynamics can also integrate a number of end-user communications systems to create a persistent over-the-horizon communications relay in support of ground assets. The system has a 'hot drop’ capability that allows the tether cable to be dropped in flight, at altitude, after which the Sky Mantis can fly for a further 30 minutes. The system can very quickly be converted back to, untethered mode, by inserting the standard 1-hour flight battery.

Infinity tether core features are: 

• 48 Hour flight time (on tether) 
• 30 Minute flight time (Hot Drop from tether)
• High weather resistance - Only minimal reduction in wind speed from UAV operating alone - up to 35 knots
• 100m altitude with 30m lateral positional movement.
• Aircraft command and control over tether cable (RF Silent)
• Generator or mains powered (Vehicle power integration possible)
